Aruma proposes a different vision of fashion and design. We believe in fashion with intention, purpose, and conscience.
Through art we resignify (modify, alter, redesign, and / or repurpose) existing items, giving them new life and value. Our slogan “Resignifying fashion” is an invitation to rethink the relationship between how we dress and the burden we place on our planet.
Today more than ever, everything we need to dress well already exists, we just need to find it and use our creativity. Together we can reduce the excessive consumption of our only planet’s scarce resources.

OUR HISTORY
Aruma was born as an idea in Venezuela, and blossomed in the United States. A concept molded by travel, meeting new people, and the connection we share of a deep love & respect for nature.
The name Aruma means ‘night’ in various South American native languages such as Aymara, reflecting the time of day when ideas that gave life to Aruma came to life: in the quiet tranquility where creativity finds it’s freest space.
This version of Aruma incorporates the sea turtle as our symbol. For us this represents the constant journey, but also the inevitable return to the essence of our origin.
